Towing Plus on South School Ave. in Fayetteville offers a service where they will tow a car and its driver, if the driver had too many drinks.

According to the State Justice Department, last year one in 250 Arkansans received a DWI. Kenny Brooks, tow truck operator, said the company is saving lives.

"That way we keep from having DWIs and car accidents," Brooks said.

The first offense DWI can cost from $100 to $1,000. However, Towing Plus can tow for less than that amount.

"Locally around town, it's probably going to be $35, rates go up the farther we go out of the work area," Brooks said. "It's still a lot cheaper than DWI."

For game days, one hot spot is Dickson Street with some bars staying open until 2 a.m. Kyle Wyatt said it's a clever business strategy.

"I've never heard of anything like that," Wyatt said. "I think it's a good place to start a service like that for sure because they've got plenty of clientele."

Joann Cisneros who was visiting from Dallas, TX, said it's a way to keep people safe on the roads.

"I'm not getting in my car, I'm not endangering the lives of other people, I'm just jumping in with the towing company and everyone else is safe," Cisneros said.

The towing company will try out the service during the football season.

"We'll just see how it goes and it's kind of a given deal," Brooks said. "If somebody calls wanting that service we'll be glad to jump in the truck and help you out."
