With just two days before the 14th Annual Bikes, Blues & BBQ motorcycle rally organizers and volunteers are gearing up and setting up.
“We've got two days to basically build a small city,” said Joe Giles, Bikes, Blues & BBQ Executive Director.
Motorcycle Village in the Baum Stadium parking lot will have more than 90 vendors.
“We're going to have everything from major motorcycle manufacturers bring demo rides, we've got food vendors, we`ve got clothing vendors, we've got parts and accessories vendors, the lot as you see it right now won't be anything like this come tomorrow morning,” said Steve Young, Motorcycle Village Manager.
Harley Davidson already setting up their hog lounge and bar on Monday (Sept. 16).
They are bringing in four truckloads of their demo fleet which consists of every model and they will be available for test rides.
Harley Davidson will also showcase their newest model.
“Our Rushmore motorcycles is our refresh of our twin platform motorcycles, we have liquid-cool engines, also a brand new infotainment system with a 6.5 inch full touch screen display in our motorcycles and everything got revamped,” said J.J Braun, Harley Davidson, Technical Operations Manager.
New this year, United FMX stunt riders.
“This is sort of an x-games type big air show, they will be forty-feet up in the air, doing flips, doing tricks and that's just cool as all get out,” added Giles.
There will also be some action in the sky, the newest addition this year is Bikes, Blues and Bombers air show at Drake Field.
“Which is a vintage World War 2 war plane show, you can actually fly in a bomber that no longer is in existence anywhere except with this group,” said Giles.
People can take trip back in time by hopping a ride on those World War 2 airplanes.
