Oklahoma was able to do just enough to stay unbeaten against TCU on Saturday night.
The Sooners jumped out to a 13-0 first half lead but had to hang on for a 20-13 win at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
TCU scored 10 straight points to pull within a field goal but Brennan Clay’s 76 yard touchdown run pushed the advantage back to two scores, 20-10.
Oklahoma saw TCU march down the field and cut the deficit to 20-17 after Trevone Boykin scrambled eight yards for the score but the Horned Frogs defense was unable to get the ball back for their offense.
Blake Bell and Clay combined for 172 yards rushing but it was Bell who put the game away as he picked up a pair of first downs that allowed OU to run the clock out.
Bell added 152 yards passing on 20-of-31 passing. Oklahoma held TCU to just 210 yards of total offense and only 44 yards rushing.
