Thursday Traffic Delays
Bentonville- Police and Fire Departments are working a traffic accident at Tiger Blvd. and Northeast A Street. It’s unclear how many cars are involved or if there are any injuries. The Bentonville Fire Dept. responded to a call around 6:25 a.m. about the accident and remains on scene. 5NEWS has crews on the way to the accident and is working to gain more information.
- Expect slowdowns near the Fulbright Expressway due to construction.
- The City of Fayetteville Transportation Division will close Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard between Block Avenue and S. College Avenue through Friday, October 18, 2013 to replace a failing bridge.
- From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the next few days, the state highway and transportation department is planning some major road closures on Highway 71B and Highway 412. Construction is being done on the roads’ surfaces.
Fort Smith- A motorcyclist said he was injured after hitting a deer overnight on Zero Street near the Bost facility. Drivers traveling this road are urged to use caution.
I-540- Slowdowns are frequently expected from Van Buren to Fort Smith due to an ongoing highway improvement project.
I-40- One lane will be closed on I-40 in between Franklin and Crawford County from mile marker 17-31 because of a road project.
Van Buren- Drivers should use caution driving on Rena Road due to construction.
