Monday Traffic Delays

Northwest Arkansas:

Fayetteville-

  • A two-car crash is slowing traffic on N. College Ave. near the Red Lobster and Dixie Cafe. Dispatchers say all lanes are open, but traffic is slow. A wrecker is on the way to tow the vehicles involved. No injuries were reported.
  • Expect slowdowns near the Fulbright Expressway due to construction.
  • The City of Fayetteville Transportation Division will close Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard between Block Avenue and S. College Avenue through Friday, October 18, 2013 to replace a failing bridge.

Springdale-

  • From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the next few days, the state highway and transportation department is planning some major road closures on Highway 71B and Highway 412. Construction is being done on the roads’ surfaces.

River Valley:

I-540- Slowdowns are frequently expected from Van Buren to Fort Smith due to an ongoing highway improvement project.

I-40- One lane will be closed on I-40 in between Franklin and Crawford County from mile marker 17-31 because of a road project.

Van Buren- Drivers should use caution driving on Rena Road due to construction.
