What’s in a name?

The website Nameberry releases it’s findings on the most popular baby names so far in 2013. They found royalty and celebrities are having a strong influence with baby naming. Both George (the newborn British prince’s name) and North (Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s baby) are names not on 2012’s list of Top 100, but quickly climbing the chart for 2013.

The Top 10 names for girls for 2013 so far, with asterisks marking those moving up fastest, are:

  6. Evelyn*
  7. Isla
  8. Violet
  9. Penelope
  10. Cora*

The Top 10 names for boys for the first nine months of 2013 are:
