A prison inmate who escaped from the Jim E. Correctional Facility in Hodgen, Okla., on Friday morning (Oct. 18) was found late in the afternoon.

Mark Bennett was last seen at the facility at 6:30 a.m. He was reported missing shortly after 9 a.m., according to Warden Mike Wade.

"Our K-9 and their tracking dog team got on a hot track tracked him down and captured him," said Wade.

Benton was at the correctional facility after being convicted of destruction of property of more than $1,000, attempting to elude, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, officials said.

According to court papers, Bennett arrived at the prison on Aug. 21.

Bennett is described as being 6-foot-2 and weighing 185 lbs. He has blond hair and blue eyes. The escaped prisoner also has several tattoos, including an eagle on his right leg, the word THIS on his right arm, and a skull, dragon and the word HALE on his left arm.

Jail officials said Bennett is serving a 10 year sentence, due to his actions he could be behind bars for seven additional years.
