The bye week couldn’t have come for the Arkansas Razorbacks fast enough.

Just a week after losing by 45 points to South Carolina, Arkansas was rolled at Alabama 52-0 that sent the Razorbacks to their fifth straight loss.

No. 1 ranked Alabama scored on the game’s first possession and the onslaught was on. Arkansas’ ensuing drive resulted in a three-and-0ut that saw the Razorbacks lose four yards and then Sam Irwin-Hill’s punt traveled only 22 yards, setting up a short field for Alabama.

The Crimson Tide quickly scored as Kenyan Drake found the end zone for the first time in the half, leaving Arkansas in a 14-0 hold. Drake later added a 46-yard scoring run in the second.

Arkansas’ defense had no answer for Alabama’s attack as quarterback A.J. McCarron started the game 15-of-20 for 180 yards and three scores.

To add insult to injury, Arkansas fumbled the kickoff to start the second half which resutled in another quick score for the two time defending national champion. McCarron hit a wide open O.J. Howard for the 17-yard strike that gave Alabama a 35-0 lead and set fans to the exits.
