Senior Spotlight Winner: Hunter Cowell

This week’s Senior Spotlight winner, sponsored by Rockin’ Refuel, is Hunter Cowell! Hunter is a 17 year old senior at Lamar High School, and he is extremely involved in his community and his school. See some of his accomplishments below.hunter2

Hunter is being spotlighted for his leadership and athletic acheivements:

  • Class President (3 years)
  • Student Council (3 years)
  • Member of FBLA, BETA, Johnson County YAC, and is VP of the Science Club
  • Varsity Football
  • Varsity Swim
  • Varsity Track

In his community, he has helped organize and assisted with several events:

  • YAC
  • National Night Out
  • Community-wide Clean Up
  • Spring Greening Festival
  • Park Beautification Project
  • Clarksville Christmas Parade
  • Johnson County Peach Festival

Hunter also reads to elementary students during his down time. This young man has been described as a hardworking, dedicated leader who will go above and beyond to help those in need. He was nominated by the school’s cheer coach, Jeanna.  Great job, Hunter! 5NEWS is proud of you as well!
