"This is Razorback country and we were not going to let anybody come in here and mess around with what we are doing," said Head Coach Sean Schimmel. "The ladies swam with a lot of pride today and dove with a lot of pride. You know we talk about team first. We talk about being one team and we rely on a lot of different people to make that happen."
Saturday's meet marked the first and only time the Hogs will compete in Fayetteville during the Fall semester. Having their home fan base supporting them meant a lot to the entire team.
"We were all very proud to compete at home," said Susanna White. "The mascots came and that was really exciting. The student turnout and student athlete turnout was great."
"We are always looking to be the best team on the deck with our energy and they were doing that and it was kind of reflected from the stands today and our fans," said Schimmel. :It was awesome. It was great for the sport and it was a great day for Arkansas."
The Hogs have won thirteen straight dual meets and that's a streak they hope to keep alive throughout the remainder of the season.
"It's awesome," said Aubrey Golbek. "I could not be any more excited. It's my senior year, so I really want to finish out the year undefeated. Regardless, we have worked really hard."
"We just keep surprising our coaches and other people," said White. "Like I said it's one of our goals to be undefeated so we are going to keep going."
