Accidents, Fog Causes Thursday Morning Traffic Delays

Weather Alert: Fog in parts of the area may cause delays for drivers.

River Valley:

Scott County- An injury accident on Hwy. 71 near Abbott is now clear, according to Arkansas State Police.  Two vehicles were involved and at least three people have been transported to the hospital.

Van Buren- Drivers should use caution driving on Rena Road due to construction.

Sebastian County- A portion of Montral Cutoff Road will be closed just north of Midland while crews repair culverts.

I-540- Slowdowns are frequently expected from Van Buren to Fort Smith due to an ongoing highway improvement project.

Northwest Arkansas:

Bentonville- Northwest 2nd Street between Northwest D Street and Northwest A Street will be closed to one lane.  The city of Bentonville is requesting drivers attempt to find an alternative route to this road due to expected delays.  This closure continues for the next two months.

Fayetteville-

  • The eastbound and westbound shoulder of Fullbright Expressway will be closed through Friday to allow the installation of bridge overhang decking on the flyover bridge.
  • Traffic will be limited to one direction eastbound on Indian Trail between Stadium Drive and Razorback Road.  This delay will continue for the next few days while construction crews work to build a new trail.
