Summary: A powerful cold front will move into Arkansas and Oklahoma on Monday night dropping temperatures around 30º. Light rain and periods of sleet will be possible as the moisture exits. While winter weather isn’t likely to affect travel, the blustery northwest winds on Tuesday will drive wind chill values into the 20s. With lows on Tuesday and Wednesday night in the 20s or teens. A Freeze Warning is in effect.

Snow/Sleet/Rain: Moisture is lacking and the atmosphere doesn’t favor much snow in the ‘snow growth region’ of the atmosphere where snow dendrites form. There is some light amounts of moisture below that area which would result in either rain or sleet around 3 or 4am Tuesday. Some light rain is possible from 8pm to 2am. Worth repeating that nothing significant is expected.
