No team in the history of Arkansas football has ever lost eight straight games. This year's team is looking to avoid becoming the first.
"We want to win," said Running Back Alex Collins. "That's what we look forward to. We want to finish with a bang."
"We are just looking to win right now," said Offensive Tackle David Hurd. "We always need to come out here every day and get better. Hopefully we get the win this time."
"These last two games are going to be big for us just to turn things around and get this program going in the direction that we want it to go," said Quarterback Brandon Allen.
The Hogs recognize there are only two opportunities left in the season to show they have made progress. One of those comes this weekend in Little Rock against Mississippi State. The Bulldogs hung tough with top-ranked Alabama last week, showing they are not a team you want to underestimate.
"They have some good stature up front," said Fullback Kiero Small. "They have some pretty good linebackers and they play good in the backend."
"They don't make mistakes," said Offensive Coordinator Jim Chaney. "The linebackers make a lot of plays. The secondary is always where they need to be. They are good tacklers. I think they are a formidable foe and they are going to create some challenges for us."
Saturday is Arkansas' final home game of the season and that has the Razorbacks extra motivated to go out and get the win.
"It's the last home game," said Collins. "It's the last time the seniors get to play at home. My main focus is to do my best to make it a great game for the fans and seniors."
"We are excited to play at home," said Allen. "We do want to send these seniors off on a high note and this game coming up is one way to do it."
