Open Carry Walk In Northwest Arkansas, Saturday

Open carry supporters organized a walk Saturday afternoon (Nov. 23) in Northwest Arkansas.

The walk started at Neal’s Cafe in Springdale.

The controversy began after a bill was passed by state legislators in the 2013 legislative session, which has languange some believe allows for open carry of firearms.

Organizers say their mission is to let the community know that just because they are carrying firearms openly doesn’t mean they are a threat to society.

About fifty people attended.
