TRAVEL ALERT: Wednesday is anticipated by AAA to be the busiest travel day of the year as families prepare to travel for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Drivers should allow themselves extra time due to anticipated slowdowns.  Arkansas State Police also plan to crackdown on seatbelt violations through the Thanksgiving holiday.

Northwest Arkansas:

Bentonville- Northwest 2nd Street between Northwest D Street and Northwest A Street will be closed to one lane.  The city of Bentonville is requesting drivers attempt to find an alternative route to this road due to expected delays.  This closure continues for the next two months.

Fayetteville- The shoulder of Fulbright Expressway (eastbound) will be closed to allow the installation of bridge overhang decking on the flyover bridge.  Monday night and Tuesday morning one lane of College Avenue (southbound) will also be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

River Valley:

I-540- Slowdowns are frequently expected from Van Buren to Fort Smith due to an ongoing highway improvement project.

Van Buren- Drivers should use caution driving on Rena Road due to construction.

I-40: One lane is closed in both directions in Pope County near Russellville from mile marker 76-84.
