It’s a spectacle to see this Christmas season. The world’s largest gingerbread house is sitting in Bryan, Texas. Reports show the Guinness World Record holder comes in at 39,201.8 cubic feet and is deemed a full sized house.
The outside of the house had to be completely edible to be earn the title. Reports show it took a month to build. Mastermind, executive chef Michael Menchaca at the Traditions Club in Bryan, faced his biggest challenges in the form of wind and rain.
As for the ingredients, reports show the following measurements for some of them:
- 7,000 pounds of flour,
- 3,000 pounds of brown sugar
- 1,800 pounds of butter
The project is said to benefit the trauma center at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Texas A&M University.
As for calorie count, that shows to come in at 35,823,400.
