About 1,878 homes are still without power Tuesday morning (Dec. 10) after ice and snow pummeled the region several days ago. Many of them have been in the dark since the brunt of this winter storm first hit Thursday.

All of the outages being reported are from Arkansas Valley Electric customers. The large majority of the outages are coming from the Waldron area. Greg Davis, with Arkansas Valley Electric, told 5NEWS they will have to rebuild portions of the power line in that area due to the significant damage caused by the ice.

Homes in Booneville, Greenwood and Hackett are also still in the dark.

Power has been restored to all OG&E and SWEPCO customers as of Tuesday morning.
Throughout the storm, their customers also saw a large number of outages.

Ozark Electric did not report any outages for the duration of the storm.
