Freezing Fog, Slick Spots Cause Wednesday Traffic Slowdowns

Weather Alert: Several slick spots remain across northwest Arkansas and some rural roads.  Freezing Fog is also present in some parts of the area and is expected to cause traffic slowdowns during morning commutes and low visibility.

Northwest Arkansas:

Rogers- The Rogers Fire Dept. was called out to a semi truck fire on Interstate 540 just south of the Pleasant Grove Road exit.  The accident is causing some minor delays in the northbound lanes.  No injuries were reported.

Bentonville- Northwest 2nd Street between Northwest D Street and Northwest A Street will be closed to one lane.  The city of Bentonville is requesting drivers attempt to find an alternative route to this road due to expected delays.  This closure continues for the next two months.

River Valley:

I-540- Slowdowns are frequently expected from Van Buren to Fort Smith due to an ongoing highway improvement project.

Van Buren- Drivers should use caution driving on Rena Road due to construction.
