Weather Alert: Rain has moved into the area. Temperatures across the area are at or just above freezing and slowly warming through the morning. Some slick spots on bridges and overpasses are possible due to morning precipitation.

Northwest Arkansas:

Hwy. 62: Arkansas State Police have shutdown Hwy. 62 west of Eureka Springs.

Highway 412: Siloam Springs Police report they are responding to a multiple car pile-up near Kincheloe Road in Siloam Springs.

Bella Vista: Cars have been reported to be sliding on roads throughout the area.  Roads are very slick in this area, especially on bridges and overpasses.  Lambeth Drive and Highway 71 are also reported to have severe slick spots.  Some cars are traveling as slow as 15-20 mph out of caution.

Bentonville-

  • Police say they are seeing some icy spots  in the area.
  • A construction project near Northwest 2nd Street between Northwest D Street and Northwest A Street will be closed to one lane.  The city of Bentonville is requesting drivers attempt to find an alternative route to this road due to expected delays.  This closure continues for the next two months.

Rogers-

Fayetteville-

  • University of Arkansas construction projects will cause the closure of Leroy Pond Drive. Anyone needing to access east Clinton Drive or Razorback Road  will also need an alternate route during this time of construction. These closures will continue through the first week of January.
  • Fayetteville Public Schools will also hold a limited bus route today.  Click here for a link to roads affected.

River Valley:

Arkansas State Police report all roads are open.  There are reports of some accidents due to slick conditions, especially in north Crawford County.  Drivers urged to use caution.

Crawford: Hwy 282 near Mountainburg has numerous slowdowns reported due to a high volume of accidents in the area.

I-540- Slowdowns are frequently expected from Van Buren to Fort Smith due to an ongoing highway improvement project.

Van Buren- Drivers should use caution driving on Rena Road due to construction.
