Charleston Routs Earle to Reach 3A Title Game

The weather was the only thing that slowed down Charleston in the 3A semifinals against Earle.

The Tigers led 14-8 at the half but could have easily led by four scores.

Charleston wasn’t going to let the cold and rain win in the second half, though. The Tigers exploded for 32 second half points as they routed Earle 46-8 to advance to the 3A championship game.

The Tigers will face Glen Rose next Saturday after the Beavers took down Smackover 54-24.

Chance Shelby continued his dominant stretch as he had 11 catches for 266 yards and three scores. The senior receiver has six touchdown catches over the past two weeks.
