Icy conditions in Benton County sent two buses sliding off the road. The rear tires of one of the buses ended up in a ditch on South Coffelt Cemetery Road.

5NEWS viewer Heather Martin said the bus blocked the road for quite awhile.

Mary Ley, with the Bentonville School District, said two buses slid off of Coffelt Cemetery near each other.

Ley said six students were on one bus and the other bus was empty. Ley said the students were transported to school safely.

They couldn’t wait until Monday so all kids could have made it to school instead of limited bus routes, and for the ones that did so they could ride the bus and be safe.
