A Fort Smith house is left charred and burned Tuesday morning (Dec. 17) after a fire broke out. The fire happened on North 12th Street.
Crews on scene said they were first called to the house just after 2 a.m. after neighbors reported seeing flames.
Authorities said no one was inside the house when the fire started. According to fire crews, the inside of the house was significantly damaged. However, crews said they weren’t sure yet if the home would be considered a total loss.
Neighbors told 5NEWS that they don’t believe anyone currently lives inside the house.
As for what caused the fire, crews said that’s still under investigation.
