Two Washington County inmates accused of raping and torturing their cellmate were in court Wednesday (Dec. 18).

Javaugntaiye Willis and JDonta Britt face charges including rape, terroristic threatening and second-degree battery.

Britt’s bond increased to $350,000, and Willis is being held without bond. Their next court appearance is set for Jan. 17.

Britt is being held at the jail in a robbery case involving the beating of a man at the Brookhaven Aparments in Springdale. As for Willis, he’s awaiting trial in a case where he’s accused of robbing a taxi driver with a machete.

According to a court document, the men raped and tortured another inmate for 16 hours before a deputy noticed a cut on the victim’s face, which sparked the investigation.
