Northwest Arkansas:
I-540- The Arkansas State Police is reporting ice near mile marker 67. Highway department sand trucks are treating the area.
Greenland- Two separate car accidents due to ice on highway 265 east of Greenland. State police said no injuries but they’ve requested the help of the highway department due to ice.
Bentonville- Northwest 2nd Street between Northwest D Street and Northwest A Street will be closed to one lane. The city of Bentonville is requesting drivers attempt to find an alternative route to this road due to expected delays. This closure continues for the next two months.
Fayetteville- Work underway on the south side of Bud Walton Arena will cause the closure of Leroy Pond Drive for drive through traffic. Anyone needing to access east Clinton Drive or Razorback Road will need an alternate route during this time of construction. These closures will go through the first week of January.
River Valley:
I-540- Slowdowns are frequently expected from Van Buren to Fort Smith due to an ongoing highway improvement project.’
Fort Smith- Lane closures on Rogers Avenue near the I-540 exit may cause morning traffic delays.
Van Buren- Drivers should use caution driving on Rena Road due to construction.
