A fast-moving disturbance in the middle of the atmosphere will generate enough lift with meager moisture to produce light snow across Northwest Arkansas this evening.

Snow will be ending around sunset. Total accumulations will be minor but has already caused traffic problems in NE Oklahoma due to the frigid cold temperatures. Benton County will see the most of the minor accumulation (less than an inch) with even lesser amounts in Springdale and Fayetteville. Little to no flurries are expected in the Fort Smith area.

Bridges and overpasses are expected to become slick in spots this evening. Use caution with the high volume of holiday shoppers
