A Siloam Springs man is behind bars after two pre-teen girls accused him of rape and sexual assault.

Jeffrey Lou Henshilwood, 55, was arrested Monday on suspicion of felony rape and two counts of second-degree sexual assault, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. He remained Wednesday in the Benton County Jail on $75,000 bond.

Henshilwood has an arraignment set for Feb. 3 in Benton County, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The mother of the two pre-teen girls approached Siloam Springs police over the weekend to report that her daughters had been “touched inappropriately” by Henshilwood. One of the girls later told investigators Henshilwood raped her, forced her to perform a sex act and touched her inappropriately, according to the Siloam Springs Police Department.

The other girl told detectives Henshilwood touched her inappropriately and tried to force her hands down his pants, according to a probable cause affidavit filed with the Benton County Circuit Clerk’s Office.

After the suspect was called in for questioning, he allegedly denied any wrongdoing with either girl and said he may have teased them for wearing bras by poking the padding in the bras. He also said the alleged victims and he may have accidentally touched each other’s private parts while wrestling, but that he did nothing wrong, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Based on the interviews, police arrested Henshilwood and booked him into the Benton County Jail, the affidavit states.
