The Arkansas Basketball team is riding a six game win streak and are looking to keep momentum going despite playing just one game a week the past three weeks.  Two-a-days has been Mike Anderson’s solution.

“The break may have slowed us down a little, but you got to grind it out and keep pushing hard.”  said senior guard Ricky Scott.  “We want to have a special season.”

“We just want to come in and work in practice everyday, compete everyday.”  said sophomore guard Anthlon Bell.  “Coach knows we are going to come out and compete everyday in practice so just take that to the game.”

Arkansas will host the Roadrunners of University Texas-San Antonio this Saturday.  It will be their final non-conference game this season.  Even though the Roadrunners are 4-8, the team can’t look past them.

“It’s a game that’s going to help us prepare and continue to get ready for conference play.”  said head coach Mike Anderson. “That’s going to be the big challenge for us, staying focused.”

“That’s who(UTSA) we are preparing for and we prepare day by day.”  said senior forward Coty Clarke.  “Who ever is next after them, we’re not worried about it.  We’re ready for San Antonio coming in.”

The team can’t help but be ready for SEC play.

“Everybody is anxious.” said Bell.
