A 26-year-old Fayetteville man has been arrested on suspicion of distributing narcotics in Northwest Arkansas, officials said.

Joseph Timothy Bell of 1708 W. Arrowhead St. was booked into the Washington County Detention Center on Wednesday (Jan. 1), according to the Sheriff's Office website. He faces several felony drug-related charges, including possession of controlled substances, and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 3.

During a search of his home, investigators confiscated marijuana, psilocybin mushroom, LSD and other drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to a preliminary arrest report from the Washington County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

The arrest was made at the conclusion of a months-long investigation by the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force during which psilocybin mushrooms were bought two times at the house on Arrowhead, the report states.

The drug purchases were made with the use of a confidential informant wearing a wireless recorder/transmitter, according to the report.

Investigators obtained a search warrant on Dec. 31, and while searching the home, immediately arrested Bell when he showed up, the report states.

Investigators also confiscated ecstasy, Sweet Breath containers, digital scales, $2,646 in cash and other items, the report states. Authorities said Sweet Breath bottles are used as containers for liquid LSD.
