Friday morning (Jan. 3) more than 2,3oo hundred homes in Oklahoma woke up in the dark, according to an official with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Officials say a driver swerved to miss a deer and hit an electrcial pole west of Muldrow and north of Baucom Road.

OG&E reported more than 2300 homes in the dark just after 6 a.m.  By 7 a.m. this morning power was restored to many of the homes. OG&E is reporting just under 800 homes without power. An offical with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said power crews are working to restore power to all residents effected.
