Qualls Throws Down Kentucky In Overtime

Qualls’ putback dunk with .2 seconds left gives Hogs first SEC win of season

It looked like Arkansas was bound for another heart breaking loss in overtime.

At best, it appeared the Razorbacks were headed for double overtime against No. 13 Kentucky.

Then Michael Qualls had the play of the year.

Qualls grabbed the rebound off a missed 3-point attempt and threw it down with two hands with .2 seconds as Arkansas knocked off the Razorbacks 87-85 in overtime.

Kentucky hit 3-pointers in the closing seconds of both regulation and the extra period to set the stage for Qualls' emphatic finish.

Qualls and Madden each finished with 18 points for Arkansas while Bobby Portis and Alandise Harris each finished in double figures. Kentucky got a game high 23 points from James Young, who hit the game tying 3-pointer in overtime. Julius Randle added 20 for the Wildcats.

For the third straight game Arkansas struggled from the field (26-of-69) but forced 17 turnovers. Kentucky outrebounded the Razorbacks 50-32.
