Hershey’s is getting into the “chocolate spreads” market. The Associated Press reports the company announced Wednesday they are introducing the spreads into their line. The spreads come in three flavors, Chocolate, Chocolate with Hazelnut, and Chocolate with Almond.

Company officials say the new spreads have been on the market since December, but national marketing is set to start next week.

The move comes after Nutella, the brand name of a hazelnut chocolate spread, reportedly saw U.S. sales triple in the past five years to $240.4 million. J.J. Smucker introduced Jif hazelnut spreads in 2012.

Hershey’s is launching a social media campaign . Their website states, “Share Something Delicious, #SpreadPossibilities  and share your favorite delicious duos on Twitter, Vine, and Instagram.

If you look at the ingredients in Nutella the first ingredient is SUGAR!!, and it taste like pure sugar. I hope Hershey’s spread is something better then just sugar. It was so sweet I had to throw it out.
