The legend of the Arkansas basketball victory over Kentucky on Tuesday just grew a little more.
The ball that got stuck in the scoreboard at the end of overtime will not be moved.
“We’re going to leave it up there kind of as a tribute,” head coach Mike Anderson said on Thursday. “People will always look up there and wonder if it’s still there.”
Trailing by two after Michael Qualls’ dunk with .02 left, Kentucky tried to inbound the ball, but it ended up inside the scoreboard.
Arkansas won the game 87-85 in overtime.
Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long said on Twitter he has been offered $50,000 for the ball.
