Guiness names a new record for marathon TV watching. Dan Jordan, Spencer Larson, and Chris Laughlin watched television for 87 consecutive hours and are now the new title holders.

Reports show the trio completed the feat at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this month, and walked away with $5,000 to split as well as a prize package for each of them which consisted of: a television, a TiVo Roamio with product lifetime service, an iPad, a Sonos system, a gamer chair and a year’s subscription to Netflix.

Published reports show each men were allowed to take a 5 minute break every hour, and were also allowed to roll their minutes over. The men were also said to be given regular medical check-ups.

The previous record was 86 consecutive hours set in 2011 by two men who watched a Simpson’s marathon.
