A 43-year-old Berryville man was booked into the Washington County Detention Center on Thursday (Jan. 23) on suspicion of burglary, according to a news release from the Springdale Police Department.

Hector Alcantara faces six counts of commercial burglary and other residential and commercial burglary charges, the news release states.

Alcantara is accused of a “crime spree” that began in October 2013, the news release states. Springdale police went to Berryville and, with the help of Berryville police, arrested the man as he was leaving his home by a rear entrance, the release states.

Alcantara is scheduled to appear in court on Friday (Jan. 24), according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office website.

It would be informative to mention whether or not he is an illegal alien to boot.

  • Not a “Berryville man”. Instead, he is a criminal thug originally from somewhere else living (probably illegally) in Berryville.

This is why people need to have a gun in the home for protection from jail birds like this guy. I don’t think he has been rehabilitated. A career criminal for sure. God help us all.
