Arkansas Battered On Glass, Drops Home Game to Missouri

Tigers handle Hogs on the offensive glass to hand Arkansas second home loss of season

Arkansas needed to defend its home floor for a number of reasons.

The Razorbacks needed a SEC win to get back in the conference picture. Arkansas needed a victory to keep their chances alive at a NCAA tournament berth.

But Missouri dashed both as they posted a 75-71 win at Bud Walton Arena behind 24 points from Jabari Brown.

Brown entered the game as the SEC's leading scorer. Missouri (16-4, 4-3) also got 24 points from Earnest Ross while Jordan Clarkson added 11. Brown and Ross combined to score 35 of the Tigers' 39 second half points.

Arkansas was led by Rashad Madden with 20 points while both Michael Qualls and Bobby Portis each finished with 16.

Missouri dominated Arkansas on the glass, pulling down 16 offensive rebounds and held a 42-26 overall advantage. Johnathan Williams III had a game high 12 rebounds for the Tigers, including six offensive.

Arkansas (13-7, 2-5) now faces an uphill battle to reach the NCAA tournament and have three of their next four games on the road. The Razorbacks are at LSU on Saturday.
