Police: Possible Shots Fired Outside Fayetteville Apartment Complex

Fayetteville police on Saturday night (Feb. 1) were investigating a possible shooting outside the Parkside apartments at 3992 N. Parkside Dr., authorities said.

Investigators said several shots were fired and said they found shell casings outside the front of apartment No. 5 upon arrival.

No one was hurt.

There were reports of possible suspects running into nearby woods at the time of the incident.

Fayetteville police sent their K-9 unit into the woods, but discovered no one, officials said.

Police said a criminal investigation has been launched.
