Playing without two key players, the Arkansas basketball team fell on the road to LSU Saturday night, 88-74.

Alandise Harris and Michael Qualls were suspended indefinitely from the team earlier in the day for violating rules that were detrimental to the team, according to head coach Mike Anderson. Neither made the trip to Baton Rouge.

LSU jumped out to a 26-9 lead in the first half and lef by 15 at the intermission.

Arkansas went on runs twice in the second half, cutting the LSU lead to single digits in both efforts but couldn’t get any closer.

Four Razorbacks finished in double digits. Rashad Madden led with 17 points and a team high five rebounds. Bobby Portis matched Madden’s rebound total with 5, including three offensive boards, and added 15 buckets of his own for his 15th double figure outing this season.

Arkansas has struggles rebounding the basketball in each of their losses. LSU out-rebounded the Hogs 45-33.

The loss drops Arkansas to13-8 overall and 2-6 in the SEC.
