The winter weather has caused trash routes to be suspended in several Northwest Arkansas cities, including Fayetteville, Rogers and Bentonville.
The City of Fayetteville released a statement Monday saying that all recycling and garbage pickup will be suspended indefinitely, “until road conditions improve to allow resuming operations in a safe manner.” The City of Rogers posted a similar notice on its website, naming the cause as “snow and icy road conditions.”
The City of Bentonville also posted a notice stating local trash routes would run one day late throughout the week, “weather permitting.”
Springdale officials have, so far, released no such statement.
