Lions Post Another Key Heartland Victory

Youngblood scores game high 19 points as UA-Fort Smith keeps pace in league standings

Josh Newman's UAFS team just keeps finding ways to win.

The Lions were without Kenny Martin for the fourth straight game but Seth Youngblood scored a game high 19 points to help UAFS post an 82-71 win against St. Mary's.

UAFS (17-4, 10-3) stays just a game back of Texas A&M-International for the Heartland Conference lead after the Dustdevils took down Rogers State on Saturday. The Lions beat TAMIU 66-63 on Thursday.

Youngblood scored 16 of his 19 points in the first half but UAFS also got 17 points from Jake Toupal while Xavier McClish and Alex Cooper combined for 22 points. Toupal and McClish were a combined 18-of-19 from the free throw line.

St. Mary's got 18 ponts from Marvin Binney while Marvin Whitt added 14.
