The Greenland girls basketball team is the two-time defending state champion and rounding in to form at a perfect time. Greenland capped off a huge two-day stretch, winning the 3A-1 conference title and a receiving a bye in the first round of the district playoffs.
The Lady Pirates beat West Fork, 40-28, Tuesday night after beating then first place Elkins the night before on Monday.
Elkins will now be a two seed.
The district tournament begins Feb. 26 at Elkins.
