Alma, West Fork Each Pull Upsets At Home

Morrilton was hoping to pull away with the 5A-West race but Alma knocked the Devil Dogs off their perch.

The Airedales outlasted Morrilton 66-63 to hand them their first conference loss of the season. The loss drops Morrilton into a tie with Clarksville for the league lead. Alma moves into a third place tie with Harrison. The Airedales took down the Goblins in their first meeting but face one another again on Tuesday.

Alma's girls also picked up a big win Friday night as they took down Morrilton 58-43. The Airedalettes improved to 6-4 in the 5A-West.

Cedarville had been cruising through the 3A-1 but West Fork sunk the Pirates Friday night.

The Tigers posted a 74-59 home win and look to have built momentum heading into the postseason tournament.
