Bentonville Teacher Suspended; Police Investigate Allegations

A Bentonville middle school teacher has been suspended while police look into allegations made against the instructor.

The Ardis Ann Middle School teacher’s suspension began Wednesday and will continue until law enforcement is done investigating and the school district is finished with its review process of the situation, said Mary Ley, spokeswoman for the Bentonville School District.

Police and the school began investigating the teacher following allegations made by parents against the instructor. Ley said she could not release the teacher’s name or other information about the case.

    KFSM doesn’t even pretend to have reporters. There is a revolving door there, and reporting the news with trained and seasoned personnel it not important.

    I’m confident that the allegations are sexual in nature. The media and police want to withhold the name of this person so as not to harm the reputation of one of our beloved tax feeders.

    If this were a private Catholic school, then the name and allegations whether true or not would be plastered all over the media.

    The sad reality is that sexual abuse of our children happens more in public schools than private ones. But, don’t expect the media to tell you this, since they are dependent upon other tax feeders for their license to operate their business.

    This is news to me. I’ve grown up with this school so knowing someone got suspended really scares me!!
