Waldron Murder Victim and Suspect Identified

The victim in a deadly stabbing that occurred in Waldron on Sunday (Feb. 9) has been identified, according to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.

The 59-year-old Asian American male victim was identified as Tou Lur. The suspect of the stabbing had already been identified as Joshua Beyard, according to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.

The fatal stabbing happened about two miles east of Waldron, said Chief Deputy Terry Staggs. The victim was alive when he was put into an ambulance at the scene, authorities said. He died either en route to or just after arriving at a local hospital, said Waldron Police Chief David Millard.
