A stirring scene at Mizzou Arena: Former Missouri Defensive end Michael Sam, who last week announced that he was gay, returned to campus with his foot-ball team-mates — for Missouri basketball game against Tennessee on Saturday.

They received a standing ovation as they were honored at halftime for their Cotton Bowl Victory over Oklahoma State. Fans erupted when Sam hoisted the trophy.

There was also a “Stand for Sam” event outside Mizzou Arena with more than a thousand people turning out. That gathering was done in part to drown out about 15 anti-gay protesters from the Westboro Baptist Church.

This in your face stuff from the gays is making people more disgusted than anything else. If they think it makes them “acceptable” they are plenty wrong. Keep it to yourself!
