Electricity was knocked out Monday afternoon for about 2,200 households in Washington County, mostly in Springdale. Power has since been restored to those affected.
Crews with Southwest Electric Power Company responded to the outage early afternoon. All electricity was restored by 2 p.m., according to SWEPCO.
Power company officials are assessing the situation to determine what caused the outage. Springdale police said the outage was not caused by a traffic crash or any other police activity.
