The Janet Huckabee Arkansas River Valley Nature Center is hosting, “A Run Around the Lake” on Saturday (Feb. 22) at 1 pm, according to a news release put out today.
The event is for ages 2 to 10, and it’s designed to foster a positive relationship between children and nature.
This is the first time this type of event has been held at the nature center, aimed specifically at children.
“The run will be a just over a half mile run on the paved trail around Wells Lake,” the news release stated.

The event is free and open to everyone, and there are a variety of activities planned in association with the run.
These activities include: a nature-oriented scavenger hunt and hands on art projects.
