King Elementary School in Van Buren will host a 5K run/walk called “Run With The Knights” on March 15 at 8:30 am, according to a news release from the school.
The race will start and finish there at the elementary school.
Entry forms can be picked up at the school (located at 411 N. 20 St.) or online by clicking here.
The cost is $15 if registered by tomorrow and $25 after that until of the race.
The proceeds will go to fund the fourth grade C.A.M.P. Every year, the school takes the entire fourth grade on a three day, two night camp. The trip is used to teach outside the classroom and to provide the students with outdoor experiences.
The camp costs the students nothing. The 4th Grade C.A.M.P. (Children Achieving Maximum Potential) has allowed over 400 students from King to experience an educational outdoor camp, which most kids would not have had an opportunity to enjoy otherwise.
