As the weather starts to warm up, spring cleaning, planting and remodeling are on everyone's mind. Friday, the annual River Valley Home Show kicked off at the Fort Smith convention center.
According to executive director Stephanie Stipins, this year's show will be the largest ever with 117 booths in attendance. Stipins is expecting large numbers to come out as well.
"I think just the excitement of the weather is nicer right now, people are thinking about remodeling or building new or working in the yard or just all of those features around their home so I think the weather change more than anything," said Stipins.
Booths range from electricians and plumbers, to landscapers and storm shelters. Businesses from across the area are informing citizens on how to improve their homes.
The show opens Friday at 2:00 pm and goes until 8:00 pm. Saturday, the hours are from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm and Sunday noon until 4:00 pm.
Admission is $5 and the parking at the convention center is free.
