Arkansas found themselves in a tight game late for the second straight day with Eastern Illinois. But Tyler Spoon wasn’t going to let the home crowd leave without a smile.

Spoon’s three run double in the 8th inning blew open the series finale as Arkansas posted an 8-3 win to complete the three game sweep.

Eastern Illinois had taken a 3-2 lead after scoring all three runs in the top of the 7th inning but Arkansas’ offense quickly responded.

Brian Anderson tied the game with a RBI single in the 7th inning then Spoon put the Razorbacks in front for good with a bases clearing double the following inning.

Spoon has driven in nine runs in Arkansas’ first six games.

Arkansas is back home next weekend as they host South Alabama for a three game series.

Nice wins, but they need to stop putting all these cupcake teams on the schedule. We need to stop playing cupcakes & play teams that are in our same division & class.
