Fort Smith Police Department Arrest Man After Finding Drugs, Gun And Cash

The Fort Smith Police Department responded to a call about shots being fired around 11 am this morning, according to Sgt. Daniel Grubbs with the Fort Smith Police Department.

Another call reported a man chasing another man on North 11th Street. When police arrived on the scene, they found 24-year-old Nicholas Murry who had a 40 caliber handgun on him. He claimed he was the one chasing the other man.

He also had drugs and several thousand dollars in cash, according to Sgt. Grubbs.

Murry was jailed for possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, possession of xanax with purpose to deliver, possession of cocaine with purpose to deliver and more.

His gun, cash and car were all confiscated.
